i give up :D

For every day, since she was younger, Leyra looked to the next day and knew it wouldn’t be more of the same. That was behind her, and to her, the past was not worth concerning herself over. Especially now, faced with this challenge. A challenge she accepted, it seems, to try to provoke some kind of actual life and fun out of Liland. She wouldn’t be his, truly, but Leyra was never to belong to anyone. Every living creature had its own choices to make, and this was hers.

She snorts.

“Only the small guys say that,” she responds to his words, jesting right back without hesitation.

Leyra dances backwards a few steps as he moved, not letting him come behind her and always keeping him in front so she could always see him. Her blue eyes followed him.

“Because there’s only one thing most men want in the claiming fields, what else would it be beyond that? Picking daisies and making flower necklaces” She intones, somewhat sarcastically in the end.

Then, there it was. The reasoning behind it all - he was quite lonesome, it sounded. Leyra did not feel pity for him though, and instead gives him a strange look, one that softens a little but keeps her from revealing anything too much that's going on inside the strange jello-shot brain of hers.

“Baggage, right. Depending on what that is, can be good or bad. Still, something that should be let go of, and quit weighing yourself down with it. Can’t move on when you’re still holding tight to it, now, can you?” She queries, chuckles and looks down for a moment. “I am not your light. I don’t play that role for anyone but myself. You have to find it on your own and hold your own out. What’ll happen if my light shines elsewhere? Gotta have your own, bro,” she says as she leans back.

She sighs.

“Well, since I know I basically have no choice in the matter anyway, I’ll go to your Bay not Valley. I’m going to have me a bit of wander first though, so I can learn and see and I’ll also be having those wanders whenever I want to as well, just a heads up. I don’t like to stay still for too long. So for now… point me in the direction, and I’ll see you there,” she says, and it is her final wish and desire. She’d go see what it all was and just do what she preached - one day at a time.
