PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

It's Your Illusion...

ADELHEID

Adelheid stood awkwardly, knowing she had put her own hoof in her mouth. Voicing the idea that she had met her death was true, and as harsh as she ever was. The question she dared not ask was whether or not it might have at one point been preferred that way. True, there had always been love in the family, but a thorn was still painful when it got stuck in your side. She chuckled self-consciously, trying to play off the flood of feeling she was experiencing. Okay, but I still have not been a good sister… really ever. The times she had judged her Jetta, snarled at her mother, and had seethed in her stubborn nature had broken them apart. Adelheid would never give up her stances and convictions, and she maintained many of her opinions had been valid, even as a child. Even today, she knew she would fight for what she believed in. Now, she just had a clearer idea of what that was and how it played out in the world around them.

Her weight shifted from hoof to hoof as each face came back into focus. After all her talk of wanting to do better, to be better, she was still at a loss of how to actually accomplish this. Looking around at Jetta’s family, at her family, she felt a hollowness ring in her chest along with her usual determination to beat something. Even if it was herself and her own weakness. Argento. She uttered her greeting, trying to shake the fact that she had abandoned their mother during his birth.
You look...well? There were a million assumptions she could come up with seeing him here, a stallion, walking through the Peak. One being he was not a lead stallion somewhere. Another that he had avoided coming to call the Lagoon home. She could respect that and was interested to see what had become of her brother. The others were all strangers. Wade seemed sensibly reserved, but perhaps that was unusual situation they had found themselves in coupled with the overwhelming emotions the older mares had shown. When Prairie hesitantly approached, Adelheid instinctively stiffened. She never would have wanted to somehow crush a filly’s dreams. Gently, she blew into the youngster's face in greeting. Hello, Prairie. Are you able to see the fairies in the water? It was not the first time and would not be the last that she wished her fantasy filled friend was still around. She would have known how to put the foal at ease.

...A fatal contradiction.
