His focus was on the red mare now as she boldly interrupts his claiming of Valka. He should be used to mares with strong personalities given who his mother was and the other mares of Tinuvel. Still, it was hard to take the stranger's bold questionings. Plus the fact that she was getting in between himself and getting to know his new ball of fluff. The red mare introduces herself as Sighurd and uses his very own 'de' to tell of her linage. He has not heard either name before so he just gives the mare a dip of her darkening skull. It wasn't much longer that his mare of fluffiness speaks and Ironclad looks to her with a smile.

Sighurd than repeats the name as if she was helping Ironclad to understand the name of his new mare. The boy just nods. "Nice to meet both of you. Sighurd and Valka." Their names slip off his tongue as he commits them to memory. This Sigurd might now be his, but maybe he would get the chance to formally chat with her again someday. He would do it now, but his focus needed to be with Valka and getting her home to Tinuvel. He was ecstatic to show his father the progress he was making towards becoming a King someday. Something changes in the way Sigurd stands, or maybe it was the sound of her throat clearing, but Ironclad watches her with questions in his eyes.

She asks her question. "Plans?" His head tilts to the side as he rethinks her question over. He wasn't sure he else he could do with Valka besides build up his herd and reputation, but maybe there was more that could be done. He has yet to figure out all the details. "Valka is my second mare and I hope to start a small herd to prove to my father I am ready to be a King. My twin brother and I are supposed to take over the Inlet when my father retires and thus, the whole island of Tinuvel will be ours. In order to do that I need a herd to fill the kingdom and start a family." He hopes that was a good enough answer for Sighurd. He glances towards Valka because even though she wouldn't understand any of this, he wanted her to know he was talking about her.

"I would be happy to tell you more Sighurd, but I must get Valka home before another stallion decides to take her from me." He knew his inexperience in battle would make it difficult to fight off the mature stallions that search these common grounds. "You are welcome to visit me in the Inlet someday." He beams the red mare a smile before moving towards Valka. "Come on Valka let's go home!" His tail whips around behind him in a cheerful manner as his head tosses towards the sea. He didn't know how else to get Valka to understand than showing her so he prances towards the shoreline.
