He follows the herd into the sea making sure he stick close to Talien and his half sister. Talien had a stallion with her, one he did not really know yet, but he had watched them grow close from far away. She was pregnant again and he could only assume it was Dex who was the father. Bel glances at the stallion multiple times, but tries not to be too obvious. This was not the time to pry into the life of the Bay's second mare. This was a time to focus on the future ahead in the territory known as Paradise.

He arrives to the island, but is shocked to see a Fjord mare waiting for them. Her scent was familiar, but he never remembered meeting the mare before. Something deep within him told him she was important, but to who he did not know. Right away he notices the look between the mare and Havelle and it clicks. This must be their mother, the old Lead mare of the Bay. He heard such vague stories about her, but now he was curious as to why she was here. There must be bad blood between herself and father.

The mare begins to speak and commands the attention of each and every one of them. He was shocked at some of the things he heard and there were parts he didn't understand. Then she speaks a name that twists his heart. Sabela. What exactly happened to his mother and what pain had Liland caused her? This whole time he felt loyal to his father, but now he was curious what all this Zjeena knew of his mother. He wouldn't ask her now, but later he would pull Zjeena to the ask and get down to business.

He stays quiet, as usual, but it is someone from the herd that causes him to speak out. His half brother Belikov begins speaking in usual Belikov fashion which usually didn't bother him except this time he speaks of his mother. Then he begins in the same dramatics his father had played. Bel stomps a hoof with a snort before approaching his brother in anger. "And what do you know of my mother's death? She died before you were even born!" He snorts towards the colt before turning his back to him just as one of the other mares began to speak.

The mare spoke oddly, but she was polite enough to apologize to Belikov and tell him to pass the message along to their father. Then the leopard mare speaks with the same conclusion. Bel sees now just how bad Liland had it with the female gender. He turns towards Zjeena. "I understand now that father is a slave to his emotions. He speaks and acts before thinking things through." He gives a glance towards Belikov. "You better watch yourself brother or your life will turn out just like father's." The colt was very impressionable when it came to father and Bel could see his brother turning out the very same way.

His eyes roll as he turns his sights back on Zjeena. "I don't yet have a decision, but I would like to speak to you more privatly. From what I gather you knew my mother Sabela and I am curious to hear your stories about her."
