Use caution when the wolf comes knocking;

rougaruyou must use caution, when the wolf comes knocking

The mare was nervous, her gaze flitting back and forth between the shores and the dense jungle that lay before her. Even from the distance that separates them, Rougaru can see her skin twitch and shiver with unease. A reaction that was not so unfamiliar to him. Most who came to Paradise heard of the Wolf of the Jungle and well, Rougaru was not ashamed of the reserve that it gave them. Respect. Healthy respect in his mind's eye.

It does not take the mare long to notice him, though her attention seems fixated mostly upon the filly, there is still a wary expression upon her face as she eyes him, her small ears pricked forward amid the salt and pepper threads of her mane. It was odd to him, how much she appeared like Zjeena and Ylva and even Liland. Sometimes he wondered if there was not a land somewhere nearby with an influx of these northern horses. It seemed the islands were full of them lately.

However it is the smaller mare, a filly really that stands near her side that draw his attention. She was a pretty thing, a far cry difference from the cream colored mare at her side. She had neatly pricked ears and intelligent eyes that spoke of strong lines and true elegance when she finally grew into the spindly legs.

Ears twitch forward as the chocolate colored stallion takes a single step to the duo, his thickly muscled neck arching to drop his wide skull downward into a polite nod welcoming the duo as warmly as such a war scarred stallion can. She speaks of searching for someone and politely he listens in silence as she tells their tale. When she spoke of a father and the bay, despite himself his charcoal lips twitch. He does not know for sure of course, but the idea that his nemesis is the mare's father is there. He hoped to never again see Liland darken his doorway and here was his daughter standing on his shores. Would he ever be rid of the gray stallion?

However her next words do raise his attention and his depthless emerald green eyes study her dark eyes for any hint of deception. Almost reluctantly he draws his gaze towards the filly once more, noting as if anew the similarities between herself and Galexia. Heavens it seemed like ages since he had seen the small girl.

Solaris.

Cullen had spoken rather nonchalantly of her passing but never was there any information behind it. He doubted the golden lagoon stallion could have known in truth but well Raider.... that was a name he knew far to well and that same stallion was overdue for a meeting with Rougaru. He would find out exactly what had become of his daughter. She was his after all.

And apparently so was this filly. A new warmth spread to his lips as he drops his head a bit lower in response. "Well Adelia. I suppose I too am in your debt as well. Solaris was my daughter. Though I still must find the truth behind her fate, I am pleased to know that her daughters at least are free of the tyrant that somehow she found favor in." he muses, his gaze once more turning on the filly Nagini. "Your sister was no more than a filly of six moons when last I saw her but I am glad to know that you are free. Though, you will not find her here on my shores." he murmurs, pausing now to let his thoughts trail. "Where last did you see her? Did she give you any idea which direction she would be headed? The islands are much larger than they seem."
