The fight with her father had been unexpected. In the end, he had turned tail and ran after the leader he felt worthy. Matianak huffed slightly as she limped along. The bleeding may have stopped, but there was no denying she had some trouble right hind leg, easily noted by the blood that stained it. Even her head had started to throb a little bit where the slice along the side of it was. She knew she'd have to get those tended to and cleaned up before she approached Elohim, limp or not.
Salt water was good for wounds, that much was clear for a woman born of the sea. Sea Witch she had even been called, or at least something to that effect. She was no witch, merely had a way with words. Matianak moved along the beach a ways before she decided to wade into the water. The sea burned at the open wound, but at least it washed the blood away and provided that stinging comfort. No need to die of an infection, she thought with a soft laugh.
The grey woman's ears twitched slightly. The sound of movement on the beach drew her eye rather quickly. She had no reason to believe Underidge would be back so soon. No, he would lick is wounds and find Eden before he dared cross paths with her again. Her ears twitched as her pale blue eyes focused on the familiar form of Triton. She smiled. There was no denying how much the younger male liked her. Even Matianak could not deny his sweet, kind soul. If she had been any other wolf, she might well have been smitten. Still, she saw the friendship there and knew she could easily ask anything of him. She moved back towards the beach with a limp. Blood no longer clung to her leg, but she had yet to wash it off her face.
Hopefully it would not deter her younger friend. "Lost in thought, are you?" she asked as she hobbled closer. "Too close to the beach," Matianak said of Triton's hole. It may have been fresh at some point, but she could smell that salt water had spoiled it in terms of drinking. She watched him curiously, with genuine interest for once. There was clearly a lot on his mind. Who was she even kidding? The grey woman had a lot on her mind too.
