Siobhan wouldn't want to admit it, but there is a certain amount of relief in her heart when the small mare relents and steps forward. Regardless of Bjorn's crimes in the matter, Siobhan did not want to leave her with the impression that everyone in the Ridge was heartless or unfeeling to her plight. She is not sure how to feel about Poka using her as a living shield between herself and Bjorn but does not outwardly object to it.

Later she would have to speak to Bjorn about his motives regarding the prickly mare, and whether this was the sort of behavior she would be expected to tolerate from him in the future. It was one thing, detestable in and of itself to force a mare to come to the Ridge, but to lie and mislead her was even worse. For now, she brushes the thought to the side and offers a welcoming smile to the mare as they rejoin Bjorn. She offers further questions, these ones lacking in the same venom that had persisted in their earlier interactions and it is from these questions that the real picture of the situation unfolds.

She had lost someone, and from the tone of her voice, it was someone important to her.

Empathy induced worry tugs the corners of her lips down into a frown and her gaze flicks to Bjorn, just as the realization also overcomes him. At least she could count on her Bera Konung to not be entirely heartless. Before she responds, she takes a moment to think it over, her gaze on the wide open ocean. Eventually she offers a response, her voice gentle. "No one, I think, has drowned since I've lived here in the Ridge, but my time on these Isles has been short."

Siobhan had lived on this beautiful island long enough to make the Ridge indubitably her home, but not so long that she knew all the machinations of the seasons and their quirks. "I do remember being terribly disoriented when I arrived, and could have easily ended up anywhere other than the Crossing isles."

This too, was true. She'd understood the basics of the land after watching a few of the other equines and the way they interacted in the commons, but had not innately known where she was or how she had arrived. "Are you certain she passed into the Lost Isles with you? It is likely she landed on one of the other Common islands..."

She cannot help it, her gaze flicks to Bjorn at this statement. If her intuition was correct, he had not allowed the mare to search the remainder of the Commons and had instead somehow convinced her to leave immediately to come to the Ridge. "...and if so she has likely ended up with someone else. But you are here now, so we might as well search here on Atlantis first."

Siobhan starts out unsure but finishes with some conviction, genuinely certain at this point that the proffered course of action would be the best at this point. "It's up to you of course, but I'd recommend resting tonight before we begin the search in the morning for your friend, Fjodur."

Expectantly, Siobhan's blazed face then turns back to Bjorn, an unspoken challenge flashing in her eyes. Whatever he had done was done, but it might do a lot to mend the broken ties of trust that lay between Poka and Bjorn. "Will you be joining us, love?"
