It's no secret that I've been a Russ Wood fan for many years. The above link is a nice tribute to Russ in honour of his 2017 induction to the Oswego Speedway Hall of Fame.
My first trip to the Big O was in 1993 June for a Twin Feature event that Russ and Bentley finished 1-2 and 2-1. Russ drove the Shea 27 and Bentley drove the Dunigan 29 that Russ would eventually take over in 1995...I vividly remember seeing Russ drive his first race in that car at Cayuga Speedway.
