Belatedly, the oversized colt realizes he has bathed her in the snowy grime and an apologetic grin flashes across his face, even as he ducks his head with splayed ears. "Sorry, ma'am."

He watches as she cleans herself, not really sure if he should be interjecting to just letting her do her own thing. Should he try and talk more? Just watch her? Chase her toward home? The confusion dulls the brightness of his gaze, but dissipates when her cutting inquiry reaches him.

"Errm, yes?" He offers with an awkward chuckle. "Well, no, I guess. Yer the first mare I've talked to since I left my da's herd."

Belatedly he realizes that this is supposed to be an embarassing thing to admit and shuffles on his forehooves uncomfortably. Thankfully, her name saves him and a bit of the grin returns. "Nice t'meet ya Aallotar. That's a name you've got there, whew. Mind if I call you Ally?"

Flicking the strands of his tail across his haunches, the stallion ducks his head briefly in a more formal greeting before continuing on in the same vein. "I'm Fearghas, by the way. New associate of the Lagoon."

Pride colors the last lines of his introduction and his neck arches proudly. Eagerly the next words tumble from his mouth as he takes a step forward towards her. "I think you'll like it here, Ally. It's got some real pretty moss and all. Are ye ready to go now? If we leave now we can make it by sunset and ye can hear all the birds singing goodnight to the sun."

A beaming grin spreads across his lips as he looks to her brightly, no guile to be found in his expression.
