Zjeena stayed particularly close as the days drew on and Monster knew just as her own birth date hovered, so too did the Fjord mare's. Remembering her last birthing experience, Monster could only assume Zjeena was scared for this time. Last time, it was all she could do to talk the mare off the edge of death's door and she didn't want a repeat of that. No, Zjeena would have her there the whole time if that's what she wanted cause the paint mare wouldn't let anything happen to her best friend. Zjeena was good at being strong...until she wasn't. And that's when Monster would gladly be strong for her. Because that's what friends were for. She spent the days grazing by her friend and grooming her, talking to pass the time and gossiping about others. They trash talked Liland plenty and joked on Rougaru's behalf. Talked about their kids. It was good times spent together.

She regretted none of it. The tobiano felt the shift in the air when Zjeena snapped her head up and looked her way, telling her it was time. Monster gave a short nod and looked around, knowing they needed to get somewhere more off-grid. Seeing the glistening tears in the cream mare's eyes, she snorted softly and stepped closer, nuzzling gently on her mane. Zjeena was one of the few that could get the affectionate side of Monster to come out. She should feel special. "It's going to be okay." She murmured softly, breathing in her friend's scent. When the mare asked if she would come, the paint didn't hesitate. She gave a short nod. "Of course." With that, she nudged the Fjord's shoulder softly and moved to go with her to some cover in the trees. Moving had gotten difficult in the past few hours and she felt things shifting in her torso. Hoping it wasn't about to be her time as well, Monster concentrated on her breathing as she forced her focus back on Zjeena. Her friend needed and she would be there for her. Her own child would have to wait.
