Use caution when the wolf comes knocking;

rougaruyou must use caution, when the wolf comes knocking

The silver bay stallion missed very little when it came to his home. The years had taught him the subtle signed to expect when new or unfamiliar faces appeared, even if by chance they managed to avoid him upon first arrival. Always there was a sign or symbol of their passing, a hoofprint in the sand unwashed by the rollings seas, a passing scrape of fur caught in the tangles of green vines or even an occasional shuffle of hoofprints upon impacted dirt. Everywhere there were signs. Sometimes he chose to ignore them. Like Indira or Wasp the trespassers at times meant no harm merely passing through. Indira spend some time after the war hiding among the shadowy shrugs and dense treeline hiding away from Cullen and his band of misfits.

The boy was no different, Rougaru come upon his scent from time to time but for the most part paid it no mind. He thought at first that like Wasp or Indira this young stallion was merely using Paradise as a place to recoup after the war or perhaps pass through on his way to another land. The islands were filled with countless new faces and it was not possible for him to be aware of them all. He felt fairly certain this boy was not a key player but nonetheless, Monster's scent had trailed his own so he told himself at some point he would remember to bring it up with her to see what she had learned... that was before the foals began to make their appearances. He was not ashamed to say that he and the beast could easily be sidetracked when it came to the pups.

Ears swivel forward now as the scent appears fresh with the gentle breeze. Multifaceted eyes of emerald green fixate upon the boy silhouetted against the bright afternoon sunlight. Ashen maw lifts curiously as the boy's nervousness seems to strengthen as the herd' s attention drifts towards the unknown presence. A single lobe flickers as Monster separates herself from the rest of the herd and approaches the blue eyed boy with a vivid display. She tossed her head a few times, her heels kicking up a plume of dust in a rambunctious display. It was odd to say the least. Rougaru had little to no experience with mute of deaf horses, but he could only assume that Monster's wild display was an attempt to catch attention to herself.

Curiously he steps nearer himself, his steps slow and calculated as though he were not quite sure whether the boy was meant to be friend or foe. Emerald eyes drift to Monster, a single dial tilted towards her friendly smile, clearly not one meant for his benefit. The wolf grins now amusement coloring his expression as he extends his neck towards the blue eyed boy, inhaling his thick scent. "Finally out of the shadows huh?" he inquires a playful gleam dancing in his eyes as he glances at his painted viper now. "You know how to smile? Shocking." he teases, a mischievous wink rumbling the chuckle in his lungs as once more his gaze returns to colt curiously.
