Hi everyone, Shiva and I both wanted to make a personal statement regarding the situation from the past couple days, which I am sure you are pretty much all aware of.
Firstly, I want to offer a sincere apology to everyone who saw those messages, took part in those messages, or was targeted by those messages. I have been playing on TLI for 11 years, and I have never been as shaken or upset by a situation on this game than I was yesterday and today. I am upset about the hostile arguments that broke out, but mostly I am upset about the mistrust and damage to our relationships that this whole fiasco has caused.
TLI has been like a family to me. I grew up here, and when I had things going on in my personal life, I could always come here to unwind and have fun. I have made friends for life here. It’s the reason I’m still here, trying to keep the place going so that everyone can have that same experience.
This is a wonderful community, where we try to make everyone feel welcome and involved. But it did not look like that yesterday. I would not have joined a game that looked like that. If I or any other member has made you feel anything other than welcome or treated you badly, privately or publicly, then I apologise from the bottom of my heart. That should not have happened.
I am a human being, I make mistakes, I miss things, and for that I am sorry. But I can promise you that I am trying. If you have had any issues regarding other players, or anything at all on the game, that haven’t been heard or resolved, please give us a chance to repair your trust and get in contact.
I’m here to listen, I only ask that people talk, not shout.
In the meantime, please write and have fun, that’s what we’re all here for.
P.S. I’d also like to say thank you for the messages of support and helpful advice I have received from several of you. Your kindness means more than you could know, and keeps me motivated to keep doing what I can to keep TLI going. <3 Replies:
