Hi everyone! Recently a few players have reached out and expressed concerns that Chaos and I could use some help with moderator duties, and after discussing it, we agreed that having a few extra players on board to help with day-to-day tasks would free us up to concentrate on global mod responsibilities, which should help TLI run much more smoothly, accommodate the current levels of activity, and diffuse situations before they become major problems.
A few players have been kind enough to consistently volunteer their help and support, so we have decided to finally take them up on their offers. Jessy and Ali will be joining the mod team, and Sabrina will also be taking on some extra duties other than battles.
We will also be creating more mod roles in the Discord chat, to help players see when there is a mod online that could potentially help them with a query, though of course Chaos and I will still be around to defer to. Though we can't be online all the time, you're always welcome to message us on Discord if you have an issue.
We have also heard concerns that players would like to see auditions for mod roles, and we think this is a valid concern. While we didn't feel it was necessary on this occasion due to the amount of willing volunteers we had, we are most definitely open to auditions in the future if we are in need of more help. Players are also more than welcome to submit an application to the staff email at any time if they have an interest in a particular role, or if they feel we could use the help. If we don't feel we need more help at that particular time, we will keep your application on file for future consideration.
With regards to the changes to TLI that we announced recently, we still intend on holding player discussions and votes regarding features and rule tweaks, so you can expect those in the near future. However, we have decided to postpone the installation of new territories, due to recent events which we anticipate will affect the site's activity levels. Rest assured that if the site maintains a level of activity we feel is appropriate, we will add those new territories as soon as we can.
Finally, I want to thank everyone who has helped reinstate a calm, friendly, and supportive atmosphere on TLI after the stress of the past few days. We appreciate you hugely and just want you to know that everything we do for the site, we do for you, and please always let us know if there is more we can do. Thank you for making TLI a site worth keeping around.
