Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Menkhet
i'm glad i learned that the universe
runs on death - it's more
beautiful to know.

Her features seemed reflective of his words before amusement gleamed in her eyes. He was perfectly correct though the gamble was just that for Asteraia. Some were welcomed, some simply chased off, others even held within the borders. Safety depended on a whim and while she never so much lived by the respectful upbringing most got, she nor her family seemed the type to take disrespect well. All the same, the male before her did not seem overly concerned about what most would see as a transgression, and for this reason, he simply fueled her curiosity and mischievous nature. King or no king the male seemed reserved in a way. Menkhet had much to learn and study but she would refrain herself from looking too deeply into her own assumptions for the moment.

When he spoke an answer to her question she paused thoughtfully and nodded. Power had many forms and while having raw power was one thing have the knowledge to work with gave her a deeper advantage. Even in its simplest forum, he had a point, she could not imagine filling her hunger for knowledge and understand. Menkhet wondered how his search for knowledge differed from her own if it truly did at all.

Opalescent eyes traced his movements with intrigue and very little reservation. He was a lovely beast, if not a little shorter than her. He seemed well built enough to hold his own in a fight and yet she almost yearned to test this observation. Shaking her coat slightly her roaming eyes shifted to meet his own. His answer had hardly been what she expected. She had doubted he charmed his way to the throne, still, she knew so little of the previous king. Honestly, the male could have easily meant he came from a family of silver tongues as well. No matter, she was inclined to stick around and figure it out at a relaxed pace.

Large paws shifted in the soft sand moving at a soft lope to reach his side when he seemed to pause briefly. His question, however, left her with a look of thought as she matched pace to the mysterious wolf that drew her intrigue. “I have many games I wish to play O’ Noble King mine. Some of them with you, though for the moment how about a game of words and knowledge?” his next question forced a mischievous grin from her maw. “I would not take you as a wolf who would miss such a thing. Most I feel would not be inclined to share such information, but you seem intelligent enough to place the two together. I am the daughter of the Pharaoh if that knowledge is of interest to you.” Menkhet shook her coat once again before inhaling the sweet yet salty ocean air. Glancing back to the male she spoke again, “I wouldn’t say I came here for Asteraia or it’s friendship, however.” Her eyes washed over the land briefly if almost absently for a moment. “You came to Asteraia a while back if I recall correctly. Though I do not know what you came for did you ever gain the knowledge you sought out?” Toes flexed slightly as she pressed onward a gnawing that made her shift ever so slightly with an energy that seemed to run along her spine.

“Would you ever fear my teeth?” spoken in a light amused if not curious voice it was an open question, but not a threat. At least not for now, and hopefully not for the future.
