Two Vesper Sparrows-Muskoka Airport

This morning at 9 a.m., there was a Vesper Sparrow singing on the perimeter fence at the north end of the service road. I heard what I believe was a different bird as you go south around the corner and out in the airfield. Vesper Sparrows are declining in Ontario even faster than Bobolinks. Their lovely song is a favourite of mine as I am reminded of childhood summer days on my uncle's farm where VESP were abundant and lived up to their name. At the airfield I also observed two Brown Thrashers out in the field, only one Savannah Sparrow and 7 Air Canada Express jets currently mothballed.
