Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He didn't expect to run into anyone out here and he certainly didn't expect it to be Matianak. He hadn't seen her in years and though he knew she was never really gone from Glorall, their paths had taken them in different directions for a while now. He still remembred his puppy crush on her and now it felt so long ago. Though he did still think her very attractive and so intelligent and witty, he knew he was more in control of his emotions now and everyhing seemed to pale in comparison to what he felt for Magpie in those few precious moments he had with her. Now that was gone but he still had Matianak, it seemed. He noticed the limp in her step first and his lips tugged into a scowl, eyes darkening with concern as he took in the blood on her face.

The wounds looked fresh and he felt anger rise up within him for whoever put them there. "What happened? Who did this?" His hackles trembled on his spine as he waited for her answer, though his ears still pricked attentively when she spoke to him, asking if he was lost in thought. "I was, but consider them washed away." He said sardonically as he watched the waves wash the sand away from their very paws. He didn't know when he might ever be able to think straight again. It seemed so hard to focus, now. When she glanced at the hole he was looking at earlier, she said it was too close to the beach and he licked his lips in defeat, knowing she meant that he shouldn't drink from it. A sigh fell from his lips. Seems he would have to keep looking, then. But he had other things to think about. He studied her pretty face, taking in the blood around it and tilted his head, raising a brow. "By the smell, I'd say most of that isn't your own. Should I be looking for a corpse?"
