The clouds in the sky are dark and dreary with white hot bolts of light crackling and striking from them. Mother nature was weeping, small droplets of rain splattering the ground and everything around the whitefaced mare who stood by herself with her head tilted up toward the onslaught. Her eyes were closed, taking a moment to enjoy the cold wet rain running down her face; mixing with the salt water that still trickled down her legs and dampened feathers. Her swim had been long and tiring, and while she mostly wanted to have a good roll and relax for a bit, Loire found comfort in the sudden weather change. Spring showers were the most wonderful.

Slowly, she opens her pale blue eyes and a hefty sigh escapes her pink nostrils. This place is a treasure, she thinks to herself, while her eyes dance over the field and the few bodies that lingered who were ambling their way out of the field towards the trees for shelter. What a shame to have such a place, despite the weather, being so empty. Giving a hefty shake of her neck, water slinging everywhere and dark strands of hair slapping at her sides and legs, Loire moves from her slight cover to the middle of the field where she has a better vantage point but also the best spot to grab at the long strands of grass not yet touched by the others. Her ears stay perked for any approaching forms and a hind leg stays poised at the ready to deliver a warning to any who do not approach her head on.
