Thx IWasSam, Fantasy Jai-alai, etc...stray-ing

Thanks IWasSam, I appreciate that post.

I just a defensive person (get it from my dad) and all I want is to keep this neat sport alive. MC has come a long way since season 1 and it's all really neat watching the growth and where they are now. I find no criticism at all in their entire business model. The jai-alai is an entertainment venue for the casino and took me a while to digest that concept. I'm sure when you look at what some performers want for a day or two of shows in the casino, it's a staggering cost.

I hope to heck Dania gets going. If still needing to implement social distancing measures in September at Dania, that could be a real challenge to show profit with current business model. Seems like changes would have to be made, union or not? Strong casinos have better odds of surviving for sure, but dern sure wouldn't want to see Jai-alai go away from there. Keep saying your prayers on this covid situation to get over quick! Prayers for Dania employees and families! Please

IWasSam, Craig and BRNE seriously scare me away from Dania......

I find Dania getting to be a tougher cookie to crumble as time goes on, extra challenging, even singles games, and the bigger the pools are it doesn't get better when you expect it would. There are other handicapping factors coming into play there that I haven't tapped into yet. My approach needs some fine tuning there, but have lots of data to assess and all that I need, gotta spend time continually improving methods.

Magic City on the other hand, even with lower pools, seems easier to handicap and do well. Some really really great opportunities at MC on exactas right now from payoffs I see and pool sizes, those pools are growing the most rapidly now from all appearances (without any analysis from me). Hoping Craig and more people start tapping into MC pools like Jim has (Go Jim!), Craig sounds like he is on the verge of starting. Bigger pools should result in even bigger pools as apparently from posts on this site, people are holding back because of pool sizes. Be interesting to know if Craig Dania strategies work at Magic City too. Hoping Craig and I can see get along better..

The challenge about pari-mutuel wagering in general is the wagering against others and NOT the house as I'm sure all are aware, except some newcomers to the sport that haven't figured that out yet, but will if they stick with it. It's also pretty neat to see some growth with new types of websites touting Jai-alai, great for the sport IMHO, can't wait to see J Laca's site that's in works now. Some great info on new sites but nothing like the wealth of info that's found on Tiger's Jai-Alai Heaven on statistics but some different types of good info. J Laca wants me to post a regular column on betting, sounds like fun and can't pass on that.

Be neat to have a Chalkie convention some day where everyone can meet. A person makes some friends on a site like this, even some real good ones that may take a long time until you actually get to meet up face-to-face. Tiger does a good job of maintaining control here and I applaud him for his efforts.

Tiger, hope you are listening - have you heard Andrew talking about fantasy Jai-alai on the Jai-Alai Channel? Sounds really neat and he sounds determined to get something going on this. Tiger, you are the king of Jai-alai contests, you have probably considered this at some time, probably some posts I can't remember or before my posting days. I've never entered any kind of fantasy league for anything, where have I been, now I'm reading up on how they work because of Andrew talking about them.

Andrew is such a great positive influence for the industry, works so well with Stu on the announcing and keeping the stats, what a job! It's so refreshing to hear someone talk about new ideas to bring more interest and fans to the sport of Jai-alai.

This is me, scattering stuff, stray..ing from the original post, I'm really good at that and Tiger probably gonna spank me again, lol......but can't help the way I am and the sport means so much to me and I get going and going, apologies.
