lukasz is happy when the smaller mare extends her muzzle to him, reaching out his own dark maw to exchange a quiet breath. though his nerves flutter anxiously, he smiles when she speaks. her words are casual and relaxed and he wonders if he could ever pull off such nonchalance. he is too worried about what height to hold his massive head at, or how close is appropriate to draw near to the shining bay mare… his ears, elegant and wide, fix securely on the sound of her voice and he replies with his usual bashfulness. ”i’m doing well. i’ve just… i’ve been a bit lonely, but good. it just seemed like a good day to strike out i suppose. i’m glad to see you again.” the large stallion lifts a front hoof absentmindedly, letting it thud back to the earth his eyes drift out to the rest of the common behind them. it seems too intimate to catch eyes with the mare, though he is warmed every time her smile falls on him. lukasz always feels like such a failure for some reason… he has no herd to speak of… only a lowly rank in someone else’s territory… perhaps this is why he doesn’t bother trying to charm or beguile mares into joining him… he doesn’t feel worthy… but for some reason his heart cannot bear the idea of abandoning his dream altogether and that is what presses him into these uncomfortable encounters… his soft dark eyes glancing up for wistful moments at kirova wondering what good he could ever do someone like her.
