PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

let me be brave

The answer made Oswin smile, already deciding she quite liked this red and white spotted mare. Oswin had never been the sort to let any set back hold her at bay and appreciated anyone of a similar mindset. She dipped her head as the mare expressed her gratitude and uttered a gentle, “of course.” It was second nature to her to have concern, for even if Oswin acted brazenly it was always from a place of defense. Defense of herself or defense of others. It was why the Peak had become the perfect home for her all those years ago.

Her blue eyes were sharp, watching the mare try and settle her weight and the pain that blossomed but was bit back rather than expressed. A wry smile worked its way at the corners of Oswin’s lips. She knew that feeling well too.

The mare asked if Oswin lived her and she realized then that she must not be a sister – or at least, not one for exceptionally long. “I do,” she said. “I recently returned after time away from the islands, but I’ve been a resident of the Peak for a long while.” Oswin didn't mention she'd once been Prime Minister. It seemed a different time and a lame brag to add. The only thing of importance was that she was and always had been a sister of the Peak.

She considered the mare with bright eyes.

“Are you considering being a part of the Vulcan sisters? Or have you just recently joined us?” She couldn’t help her excitement and the way it chased the edges of her tone or kept her eyes alight. They could use numbers – now more than ever, if she was to understand right by Wasp – and the mare before her who could shake off an injury and press on to seek her goals was exactly the type Oswin would love to see here.

"I'm Oswin, by the way." She added with a smile, only realizing then that she'd been so excited to talk with the spotted mare she hadn't introduced herself.

oswin
this is as brave as I know how to be.
I know it’s gonna hurt you, but please… be a little proud of me.
