In the Huntsville area, this (presumptive female) Least Flycatcher went back and forth from this "under construction nest" to various shrubby and treed areas as it carried bits of bark, grass, small twigs, and used its bill and body to shape the cup for new family members likely arriving soon! This Flycatcher is known for using webs of spiders and caterpillars to bind nesting materials together. A zoom lens allowed us to keep a long distance from the nest while still being able to get some close-up images!
