She had been watching closely all the new horses from Liland's herd and those that stumbled in either by Rougaru's invite or someone else's. She rarely got to have one on one time with any of them but she was ever observant and frequently bored so what else was there to do? The other yearlings seemed to be otherwise engaged so she found herself near the edge of the herd lands where the land sloped upward out of the mystery of the jungle and more into the open air. Figuring she would see more of the island this way and get better acquainted with it, the yearling filly carefully picked her way along the trail, coming across a fresh scent on the way. Her ears flicked back and forth curiously, wondering why someone else would be this far on the outskirts of the herdlands. Were they trying to escape? Why would anyone do such a thing from Paradise? True, Medusa herself grew increasingly bored here and so she'd been swimming to the mainland to entertain herself but she knew where her home was (at least for now) and until she got properly escorted to Tinuvel, she would always return here. Now even more possessed to go along this path, she picked up the pace to a trot, though she scattered pebbles and tripped more than a few times. Finally, she saw a smaller red and white figure ahead and she gave out a whinny to announce her presence. The other mare smelled of Paradise though Medusa didn't think she'd seen her around much. Perhaps a newer member? She was puzzled by the mare's small but sturdy stature. She wasn't going to be much taller herself but she was lanky and slender where the other mare was built like a brick house. How did that happen? As she got closer, she reached out her muzzle and swished her tail, ears pricked attentively toward the other mare. "Hey, I'm Medusa. Are you still growing?" She never was one to filter her thoughts.
