The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Arturio wasn't entirely certain what he would find, or even what he was looking for. The Grotto just seemed like the right place to be in the moment to mull over his thoughts. There were faints echoes of caved dwelling lizards and the like, but another wolf, that was a feeling in his gut that he knew someone else was about. The more stagnant air did not reveal his unexpected company, yet it was not unwelcome company. His ear twitched. When was the last time he had actually spoken to Eden?

Far to long, in his opinion. The man was mate to his imprint and father to her children. While Arturio still wondered, always would wonder, about true parentage, but there was no need to cause them any confusion. Not now, not ever frankly. The Thunder King was perfectly happy to be a welcome face to Badar, Eira, Eva, and Zion, whenever they chose to venture outside of Glorall. The white male gave a similar respectful bow. They were equals, in more than just the position they held. Being an equal was more than just a position, but in how a wolf treated others. Arturio's knowledge of Eden, limited as it may be, did nothing to deter such a line of thinking. "It has indeed, Eden. From what I can see, everyone seems to be faring quite well," he said.

There was a pause there. What was he seeking in the shadows? Quite frankly, he wasn't entirely certain. "The world is shifting. It seemed like the right place to be in the moment," he replied. Such was the best possible answer he could give as he considered all the unknowns. Too many what ifs and if this, then this thoughts had been swirling in his mind. A specific wolf, changes in Taviora, and who knew what else might be on the horizon. "Sadly, shadows don't answer questions. They merely haunt your steps," Arturio said, almost absently but it felt like it needed to be said. Would Eden agree? Perhaps even the Fortitude sought something specific within the shadows. "And you Eden, what brings you away from the seas?"
