PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

send me reeling

“Thank you,” Rhadra says softly, smiling over her daughter. “And yes, actually. I’m a bit tuckered out from all that; will you keep watch for us? I think I could run if I had enough warning.” She sighs deeply as she speaks and lets her head hang a little lower, relaxing into her weariness now that she and her daughter are no longer alone. That is something she had observed about these slopes— one feels very much on their own on certain sides of the Peak, as the horses here don’t tend to gather like a traditional herd insofar as she has seen.

The black mare sighs again, shallowly this time, and flicks her ears toward the painted stallion. “I’m very glad you’re here,” she tells him. If she’d been able to find the bay stallion who sired her perfect daughter, perhaps he is the stallion who would be guarding them now, but Rhadra rather doubts they will ever meet again. Certainly not here up on this lonely mountaintop. She is grateful for Collision’s presence, and not the least bit begrudging that he is not the one with whom she had her tryst. He has proven to be good company and she’s happy to have his influence near her daughter. It would not do for her to grow up lonely.

She dips her head again to nose her daughter’s hip, but Izzy responds with little more than a flip of her tail as she ducks her head out from under Rhadra’s leg and, with little more than a glance at the stallion, takes one step away from her mother before her legs fold and she lowers herself to the ground for a nap. Rhadra whickers fondly at the dark filly, then raises her head to look attentively at Collision. “Have you found anything interesting while you’ve been exploring?”
