Use caution when the wolf comes knocking;

Perhaps it was wishful thinking, perhaps it was the wolf becoming more observant. Whatever the reason, the emerald eyed stallion cannot help but to note the glimmer in her bright eyes as he began to regale her with descriptive adjectives that best fit the jungle herd. Though she did her best to remain the picture of polite and grace, he does not miss the way her slender legs dance beneath her or the small intentions her hooves made into the moist earth. It reminded him of how he had once been, youthful, adventurous, curious... even daring. Perhaps he was still a bit daring, at least in the eyes of the grumbling wolf who paced back and forth in sulking silence. Such a moody creature for one that reacted on primal urges. Far more complex than it was given credit.

Eyota glances around them, her small muzzle dipping slightly at the praise she offered him. It was enough to boost his ego a notch or two and definitely give the wolf a chance to puff out its chest in pride. Long ago he had given up the vane attempts to keep his coat scar free. Long ago he had quit wasting time prying each tangled burr from his silver white tail or wind tangled knots from his mane. His strangely colored coat had been a pleasure for him then. Years of warring and sparring taught him such beauty was meant for the fairer sex, In turn, it was perhap the scars and fading white marks on his chocolate hide that the mares found appealing. He could not deny the delight hidden deep down as even her gaze lingered upon the marks. His badges of war and symbols of strength. Gently he chuckled, stretching his arched neck to brush his whiskered lips against the velvet softness of her own muzzle. "I do not know that my words truly do it justice, or that I am nearly as magnificent as you say...." he remarks shifting the weight of his massive frame an inch closer to her slight figure. The wolf liked this one.

A single dial flickers amid the tangle of windswept locks as she inquired about others. She was no foolish filly. A wry smile ghosts across the curve of his lips but he allows it to disappear with a shake of his crown. "You have me mistaken my dear Eyota. I am no desperate herd stallion attempting to gleam what remnants the commons have of lost souls. To be honest I found myself here by happenstance. However I simply could not forgo meeting such a bright creature as yourself." he replies blinking warmly at her. No. Were he desperate for more faces to add to his ranks he simply would gleam from the other herds. Sate his and the beasts desire for chaos as it was. No. Eyota was a mere pleasant surprise and not one he was about to give away so easily.

Normally he would find himself now fumbling over his own words, attempting to think of a polite and yet resolute reason to lead on towards Paradise. However Eyota seemed ahead of him now. Her bright gaze shifts towards the horizon, where already the sun was resting upon the distant rocky mountaintops. He too shifts his gaze, drawing in the bright orange and red rays that slowly drew the skies overhead in an array of deepening pink and purple hues. "RIght you are." he breathes as thick saucer-like hooves move beneath him, bringing his muscular frame even with her own. He was not unfamiliar to the dangers of this world... a world that was not so unlike the lands in which they had both once come from. Each island had its fair share of dangers. Wolves, coyotes, foxes, and even mountain cats lurked in the shadows when dark fell over the lands. Waters teamed with sharks and rays that drove up from the depths to feed along the shores and in the narrow channels that separated the islands. Even the jungle was not void of dangers and while he trusted his herd was safe in the capable hands of his drappas, he still was not one to sit back and watch as they took on his responsibility. "Stay close Eyota...." he breathes, a wolfish grin upon his lips as affectionately he brushed his chocolate hide against her own. "No danger will come to you with me at your side." he murmurs, tilting his head towards the beach.

OOC: we can continue here or on Paradise if you like :)
