During the years 1963-1964 I lived in Hollywood, half way between MJA and Dania. Miami had not expanded yet and much of the crowd was made up of Cuban exiles. Dania was a much newer venue and was more formal with people dressing up and a lot of celebs in attendance. Miami was a much more exciting place to watch jai-alai. I was job transferred to Orlando in 1966 and attended that fronton in the winter and Daytona in the summer.
I never saw Asis play. At Miami the two best singles players were Orbea and Churruca. Churruca and Larranaga were the two best backs and Orbea and Bengoa the two best fronts. Miami played a higher quality game than Dania but Dania had a really good player, Egerbi.
Orlando seemed like the minor leagues but had some good players....Elu, Gasti, Irigo, Echaniz and of course Elorri. This is my opinion only.
