This is another devilish move by the college in these times when the NHS is being transformed to reduce costs. Not all patients will be satisfied with the new ways of care (virtual or video or any other rubbish..) so the demand for alternative care providers will increase significantly. The local white consultants will then give up their NHS substantive posts or at least go part time which would create a gap in the NHS and hence this move from the College to fill this with the international staff graders after being promoted to “consultants”. Very funny who things would pan out on the next couple of years. Replies:
