This is exactly how your name will appear on the board every time you post a message. This morning we went to the Upjohn Nature Reserve to check out the Great Blue Heron nest. There were three young birds resting quietly in the nest...until an adult brought some food and lots of bill grabbing ensued. Two young Belted Kingfishers were being fed by their parents at the back of the pond. The young birds were only flying short distances, but seemed to be doing pretty good. A Great Crested Flycatcher was hawking insects. It caught a dragonfly, flew over to the Wood Duck nestbox, and then entered the box with its meal. There must be nestlings!
