While winter had passed most unproductively for the fem, something it sparked a deep curiosity in her. As soon as the rain broke, the idea of seeking out her friend Mochi or her devious Nyteshade or even the idea of visiting her Little Noble King seemed appealing. She would never turn down a distraction from her wonderings but, her limbs carried her in the direction of the Sea pack and where she had first encountered Nytshade. It did not take long to realize the rain she had experience had little weight on the flooded place that use to be the grotto. Perhaps she would figure out the cause at some point but for the moment she had wolves to see and gnawing in her chest to sate.
Menkhet’s gaze shifted around the scenery. The earth's harsh rains had ceased, or at least it seemed to have passed for the moment. Still, the air smelt of rain, and the dark fem wondered how much time she would have before the earth was stirred once again. Opalescent eyes scanned the top of the water a glare that is missed by most caressed her features. Contemplating how far the disaster continued south, the idea of finding another means to traverse seemed to grow ever more appealing. Her paws settled heavily into the soft dirt, cautious in their placement. Certainly, the waters were deep and there were signs of a current or multiple, but Menkhet wouldn’t be able to tell if they had any strength to them or not. Even a wolf as bold and fearless as she, would never be so reckless as to just dive in. No, she was too cunning for such a notion.
Her eyes lighting up with a dark idea, the fem quickly took to looking for a hare. Prey seemed quiet desolate but certainly, a family or to did not find themselves so fortunate. If she could manage to snatch one for herself, she would be able to sling it into the center where the waters seemed most concentrated. If it could swim out perhaps she would be fortunate enough to cross as well. If not well, she would seek a different means of passage. Currently, it did not seem she would be able to find any wolves to coax into the depths to test her theory for her. Though she did suppose if they happen by it could lead to some entertainment. For now, Menkhet reserved herself to staying from the edge where she could slip into the water herself as she prowled for a lost ensnared hare.
