Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Winter had been unexpected, well the events of it at least. With the blizzard confining her and Kajika for a short time it led to perhaps an expected outcome for most and sill so very unexpected for herself. The fem had rounded our around the abdomen quickly showing more than she thought she would so soon. Admittedly the dark girl kept it hidden as much as she could from her companion after all her mother had approved of her finding her path not having pups at such an age, would it truly matter to her family though? That she was unaware of. Now, however, there was no hiding what their actions had led to, her large rounded belly having betrayed her.

Other than some occasional discomfort the fem was almost entirely content with the scenario. She admittedly tried to keep from going back home however she had heard her mothers call, if she and her siblings did not return to see her soon they would be reprimanded harshly. Even so, something told her that time was close and her children would not be left in the free lands to grow. Bastet more than anyone knew the wolves that hunted lupine flesh would be hard to deter more so without the protection of her family.

Gathering some of the herbs she had managed to accumulate, Bastet called softly to Kajika. “I believe it is time to head home. I don’t think we have much time left to roam and they need a den. After all, we must face my family sometime.” While the dark fem tried to keep her head high and dignified she often faltered under the gaze of her family. Not because they claim her to be lesser but she felt it deep within. She just hoped they would be accepting of their children and she and Kajika wouldn’t be reprimanded too harshly. She wondered if he knew of her worries when she met his gaze.
