I might update this instead of posting a new comment...but here's a few just off the top of the my head!

i. What is God-moding, power play and meta-gaming?
I think this is one of the trickiest things for new players to get a good grasp on unless they've had experience in roleplaying before!

ii. Where can I find free HTML to use? Where can I get pictures made for my characters?
I'd refer them to general HTML sites, like https://www.w3schools.com/ or some of the 'free table' forums. You could also make them some easy-to-use pre-made tables -- really basic and generic so they don't even have to mess around with colour or anything. As for images, I'd refer them to DeviantArt or possibly specific artists if you think they wouldn't mind.

iii. How realistic do I need to be? Can I use 'human' sayings?
This is what got me when I first started! It always felt wrong to use phrases like 'on the other hand' because it's like... Well, wolves don't have hands, right?! You could also explain that yes, the characters can speak and understand each other, but no they can't understand birds or other species (or whatever your game allows!)

iv. Can I write characters from my favorite book/show/series/whatever?
e.g. Some people want to write a character from Game of Thrones because they LOVE them and want to continue their story in their own way, like fan-fic or whatever... Is that okay? Does it verge on copyright? Is it okay to use the name and maybe general characteristics, but not their backstory etc? Something to consider!
