Good point; the Logistician always have the last word about any plan to fight, and those derided "REMF" ( the 10% who are int the rear supporting everything) ) are most important. I assume something like what was established during WW 2 in the Pacific will be needed, I will assume planning is going for such contingencies. Under a conservative government and a wise Navy CNO. Might be ships now will depart over loaded like WW2 submarine on long patrols. and resupply will be critical. I hope there are enough auxiliaries ships available.
