Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Mother Goose is just a fairy-tale (Any, Cullen)

It beckoned to him. The call that the other had given. It was a call to seek him from his home and whisk him away to this stuffy captivity that he surely knew he didn't like. Goose was not at all pleased and it burned clearly in the whites of his eyes. The look was of disgust. Pure lack of enthusiasm for the surroundings in which his eyes had now fallen onto. The tobiano shook his body to rid the excess water from his coat. This was nothing like the Bay. This was a thing of nightmares. To a child's mind; this would be a nightmare. There is no dreaming of such a stuffy; humid place as this.

"Such ugly. Such un-kept. Why me?

Why was he brought here? Goose had no idea. What did Cullen want with a stallion who wanted nothing to do with stallions like he? This was not his home and Cullen was not one he'd ever bow to. Obey? Not in this lifetime. Goose had no reason to follow the kind of the likes of Cullen. It had been rumored that the Lagoon boss had lost his entire keep to the Peak. The Amazonian mares had taken everything from him. Why would Goose respect someone whom could not even keep his own? Then to take another from their home and think that they might enjoy him? Hardly so! Cullen was a fool to make such a mistake in taking Goose away from his home and his darling Loire.

Goose could never have taken Loire here against her will. She was with child after all. He would never dream of taking that risk unless she had demanded such. Loire had chosen to remain at home in the Bay with Valka. Goose knew that she was safe there with the bold little mare. Goose was not happy to be away from her though. Not at all! A shake of his head and a deep grunt confirmed that thought.

It sickened him that he was here in this undelightful thing. What was it called? The Lagoon wasn't it? Goose was sure he had that right but it wasn't like he was delighted at the thought. This was not home. This would never be home. What did Cullen want with him anyway? Did he expect a good little follower? Well, Goose was not little mind you. Neither would he follow Cullen to the ends of the Earth were it ever asked. Nothing asked of him would be followed by one such as the Lagoons fallen boss. This may still be his domain but he held no respect in the eyes of many. Goose was among those equine too.

A slight chuckle at the thought of this stallion thinking that he would come and bow to them. Not happening! Cullen would be crying up the wrong tree if he expected that. Keep looking boy because he wouldn't find what he was looking for in the Gypsy Vanner lad. Not at all!

"Foolish. Much amusement and yet, much hate. To choose to take one captive is child's play. My freedom is not something I'll take lightly to being taken from me.

The words were soft but deep. One would need to be close to hear them and yet, he was alone for now. Perhaps that would change. Were it Cullen though that approached? Well, they had better watch themselves for Goose was not a friend to him. There would never be seeing things eye to eye with the Lagoon ruler. There would be no friendship growing within Goose for the sad excuse of a stallion. Goose still didn't understand what Cullen could ever want with him. What angered him the most was taking him from his Loire when they would in the future be expecting a foal. Goose wanted to be there for her but this stupid monstrosity had taken that from him. Oh but just wait. Cullen was a fool. There was just nothing else to describe him as. A fool just seemed to fit in his thoughts. It would probably roll smooth from his tongue were it spoken. A soft chuckle again leaves him and he shakes his head a bit to clear those flowing bangs from his vision.

"Well, I am here."

This was spoken a tad louder than those previous statements. It was meant to be heard this time should someone be lurking near enough to catch the tone of his words. There is no pleasure there. It was spoken flat and with disgust. Goose didn't want to be here. It was not his fault of that though. He had not wished away his own freedom. No! Cullen had taken that from him and there was a burning hatred within his very soul.

"Ye best explain why. Why am I here?"

Because it made no sense to him at all. Goose didn't belong here. The atmosphere was all wrong. Too muggy for a thick and feather coated stallion. Too hot for one with such a flowing mane and tail. Goose didn't like it and he wouldn't get along well here. Silly boy thought they could call on a stallion they didn't even know? Cullen knew nothing about Goose and neither did Goose know him. What was this crazy madness all about? Someone had better come do some explaining or there would be a rampage on their plate pretty soon.

A shrill cry sang out from his throat as he rose up into a rear. His forelegs lash out at the empty air before he comes back down with a heavy thud. His right hoof pawed at the ground as his eyes searched for one close. Any takers boys? Surely someone had an explanation for him. Goose wondered what amusement they could spin in tale for him. Quick now boys before he grows bored.
