-THERE IS NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES

-there is no honor among thieves

There was some defiance in the young stallion, but this was just the thing he was looking for. Cullen liked his prey to have spunk or it wouldn’t be any fun. The mares were the best when they fought him back home, but it did make it easier when the stallions agreed to join his ranks. He had asked stallions like Collision Course, Raider, and Adolfo to join him, but there was no time for formalities now. Get the lone stallions home now and later he would explain things. Golden ears lay back to show he wasn’t playing around.

At the same time, Cullen didn’t want this stallion (or any of them) to outright hate him for his claim. A bachelor under his care needed to learn to trust his authority and run alongside him with loyalty. He had that once, lost it, and he was determined to find it again. The warmth of their bodies exchanges a silent treaty between the two stallions. The sooty palomino was his so he would get as close as he wanted from now on. The two of them stare at each other almost as if seeing who would break first. The Boss wonders if the palomino was thinking of what to do next or if he should fight, but his body soon begins to relax. The stallion’s head tilts away in a show of obedience, a tall tell sign that Cullen might not need to work hard to get this one home.

Still, the palomino’s dark eyes keep their gaze locked with his. There still some fight in the younger male, but Cullen knew his experience in fighting could easily squash that out of him. Ears lift slightly as the male begins to speak his first exchange of words to his new leader. Cullen was pleased with what he heard, mirroring the friendly smile of the other. ” Varanduil a unique and mighty name,” he compliment the stallion feeling that doing so would win him some favor. ”I’m sure you know what a bachelor herd is and does, yes?” He asks this to see just how much experience the young lad has. ”In my herd you will grow strong and learn how to get the things you want out of life. Tell me, Varanduil what is it you dream of acquiring?” The offers get even juicier as he offer to make this stallion’s wildest dreams come true.
