He looks on the young mare with kind hope and offers little else in his words. His bare rub of blunt teeth over her had been for the benefit of unwanted invaders, the stallions he had met and heard of alike that spent much time gathering for their own gain. With him, he was certain that this girl, part of the People though not wholly of them, could find true healing and safety. He was not a selfish fellow and she had only needed to bid him remove his claim to have it be done.

While claimed, he was certain that his Sayyida and Maslakhat’s Sidika would tend to her, treat her with the bolstering goodness and remedies that might breathe life back into a body almost bereft of will as of now. It makes it easy to look on Nekharat without blame or discourtesy that it seems that this mare only sought to do so from any notion of being beholden to him that might have sprung. She comes rushing in and she is beautiful in her self-righteous fury. He looks on her with no malice or dismay - offering a kind smile and a look somewhere near to relief in his eyes.

"And how does she know she can trust, you. She washes ashore so vulnerable and you dare plant teeth upon her hide?" She rightfully brandishes his behavior at him, though he held only defense in mind as he speaks in peaceable tone. "Better to let her trust me, who I know to have no motives on her person save for one of my People to not be so dire in need of care - than to leave her to the vultures that circle. In a claim she is safe from them, in a block she is safe to choose. There was no flaw save that I had not been the only one keen to rescue her-- and alls the better you were here to keep her from feeling beholden to a stranger, whatever the peaceful purposes he intended."

He looks down, "As for planting teeth on her-- I brushed her in no greater manner than one friend might a sister or daughter." He negotiates around her, offering space for Nekharat’s peace of mind without straying far from the one he hoped to help. "Would you give us your name, child?"
