He is her height, a deal older, but somehow his interest in her stirs her favor. She cannot say that she would cleave, for she would not save for the man of Fire that was foretold -- but where there was ash and soot and char, surely she might track that to Fire? Her tail switches like a cat, though she tries not to seem any more anxious than she is. "Those who have forgot your importance are fools. I am Björn, Bera Konung of the Inlet" She smiles, "While I may not wish my favor on any save the foretold ‘man of Fire’, I give you blessing for your Inlet in exchange of your kind words. A Chalice without a demesne is no Chalice at all, but I will be glad simply of complimentary company."

"Kona gull, is not what you think. It means golden woman, in the Norðurland." She looks at him with intrigue, his accept seeming to fit warmly in speaking the native words with better understanding in her ears. "Norðurland, is a place far from here, over the ocean and beyond. A land full of fiercely cold winters and even fiercer warriors." She inclined her head to him, eager for the stories he weaves in her mind through suggestion and simple words. Such a place must have been harsh, not one that would have made her thrive. "What brings you to the Lost Isles?"

What a weighted question, her sunshine hide suddenly too bright for her wishing to be gone. It was a shame relived, speaking of her demesne and her actions to keep it whole. "Another demesne saw weakness in mine’s Master. They had no Chalice of their own, their last Chalice sacrificed to foreign gods. No other was born to them, no other came to them, and so they sought to take one from their neighbor. I fled for the weakness in my demesne’s Master, knowing he would die before being seen losing a battle. Vanity claimed him and exiled me. If I did not submit, they would have harmed my people -- but to submit to any but the man spoken of by the oracle would mean destruction anyway. I chose to flee, my death meaning nothing in either case."

She sounds sad, but she will not linger there long. "I had forsaken my name when I was first called Chalice, and here you find me. Without purpose or home save that I must seek the man of Fire and swear my whole being to his service, whatever may come."
