Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

israfel

Israfel had been lucky with Samia, and lucky with fate by proxy. If some day she turned around and wishd to leave him, he knew he'd no longer be 'complete,' but he knew that he'd accept it all the same. After all, his father had done so with his mother, Malina, and although it had been an unusual thing to understand, eventually Israfel had. Thankfully, he had been lucky. Fate had been kind to link two kindred spirits, but it did not make Israfel ignorant to their privilege. Not everybody was so fortunate, and some wolves had to fight or give up their imprints right from the very start. Had he known Thor had experienced that kind of thing, he might have treated him a bit more tenderly. Instead, he was unashamedly infatuated with Samia, and he felt himself light up like a little fire any time she came to mind.

It seemed that Israfel had said something a little unfortunate, though. Thor seemed to take it personally, the fact that Samia might have been a little concerned about returning. Israfel wanted to rush in and correct him, but instead, his ears merely flicked back and he grinned apologetically. He had worded it poorly, but he figured it was the kind of conversation that Thor and Samia needed to have anyway. If there was any blame between them, Israfel didn't know enough about it to say whether it existed or not. In Israfel's mind, Samia simply worried because in the past, she had no other choice but to do so. There had been strange feuds between his own family and hers long ago in the past, and he felt that it had left some scars on her even if it hadn't directly involved them. Natu and Fenrir had been a...complicated thing from what he had gathered.

What happened next truly made Israfel want to crawl back into a hole, curl up and wait for everything to just blow over. Thor laughed, and the sound was absolutely unexpected. It was so honest, though, that Israfel couldn't help but have a little laugh himself, though it was raw with embarassment. "Well, uh, yeah...It is! You know, I've never had to...announce it...before...So, I don't have experience with it, alright?" He looked down at his paws and shuffled nervously, though he couldn't hide his smile. Thor had taken it well. If anything, he felt good despite his embarassment. If there had been one silver lining to his way of announcing it, it was that it had mustered a laugh out of Thor. In fact, Israfel couldn't help but feel giddy at the thought of telling Samia how he had responded. Sure, she'd probably dread knowing how Israfel had made it known, but she'd breathe in relief knowing he'd managed to break through Thor's walls just a little.

"Really, I'm so glad to hear that. It's going to mean the world to her, and it'll mean a lot to... them, as well." He furrowed his brows. "You know...the kids." He practically gulped at the word itself. Oh, he remembered kids and what they were like. They were full of energy and teeth, and that was about it. Oh! And words. They had plenty of those too.

"And I'm going to be honest, Thor...I'm really hoping you've got some good advice for a dad-to-be," he said with a chuckle. "And, of course, you can count on me to help you out wherever you need it. In fact, I'd be thankful if you could keep me busy!" He grinned, all toothy and proud, and his tail waved excitedly behind him. Things had gone better than expected, and if he was honest, he really hoped he'd be able to establish a good relationship with Thor - a better one than he had initially intended. He wanted to be friends, not just brother-in-laws or anything like that. Thor undoubtedly had a wealth of knowledge and experience that Israfel hoped he'd be able to share with Israfel and Samia's children, and for Israfel? Well, he couldn't complain if he made a good hunting partner, either.
