Rougaru fondly called her his little bird or his little pearl. But as soon as she questioned him, he rose up and challenged her thinking. If he appreciated her so much, should he not of listened to what she had to say? "I have always felt like just another pretty face," she whispers and the truth draws a lump to develop in her throat. She wills herself to look at him, despite the fear that grips at her heart. What is it that he sees her? Why does he not just count her as another face and move on? "You are different than any man that I have met. You see more in me than I see in myself." There is a flicker of a smile on his lips as he continues. And then he apologizes and reveals more of his heart. "Jabari, I worried for you, but hoped that all would be well," she pauses a breath "while I silently prayed we would see each other again." As their muzzles press into each other she can feel her heart hammer against her ribs. She begins to forget the fear that poisons her mind and the doubts that threaten to drown her. It all begins to slip away. His scent envelops her, it is warm and invites her to dive deeper into him. She allows her muzzle to leave his, it runs the length of his cheeks and comes to rest on his muscled neck. She can feel his body quiver beneath her touch and his skin warm beneath her touch.
