It’s only been one book, before that 105.1 was bombing with their current presentation Side by side with the Buzz. The only reason X is doing so well, is because they are taking listeners away from 98.9 not The Buzz. Give it time and you’ll see that the X isn’t going any higher in the ratings. It will stay put right at that spot with 98.9 one spot above it.
It’s pretty much 105.1 is more hard rock than Alternative and 96.5 is sticking true to what Alternative is at this moment.
You are right though that 96.5 needs to start doing more with their music if they want to stay around longer. I know I enjoy the wide playlist that 91X San Diego has. A mixture of old and new Alternative spanning several decades. From the late 70’s through the 2010’s to now. The playlist isn’t wide enough to keep the listener from getting bored, except on the weekends. Replies:
