Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

The lands seemed almost... what was the word she was looking for? Squishier perhaps. The flooding from Taviora had not seeped into Asteraia much, though nearer the river things were far more visible. Lamia wondered what had become of her former home of Glorall. It was not difficult to discern where the water had gone. The river had risen, that much as obvious, and what did that mean in regards to her mother and siblings. Trapped within the seaside pack, perhaps? Her mind wandered idly as she padded along. Spring was well enough on its way. No doubt new puppies in the world, though how many seemed to be few again. The world was getting tipped on its head, that was plainly obvious. And yet, no one seemed to be watching closely enough.

Her wandering paws took her where they saw fit for the time being. A sound drew her sudden attention. Rather it was a voice with a name. Who would be so bold as to utter such a thing so openly? Very few wolves, Lamia knew this. Quietly, she drew closer, able to catch the last part of their conversation between the father and daughter. She knew the answer, and it was not the ''nothing" Elohim had given his child. And what of this child, there was an air of familiarity that she could not place in the look of the girl, while the male with here was easily picked as one of Glorall.

Still, as they settled into their place to what she could only assume was rest, the chocolately brown young woman could not help but approach. "You simply existed, little one. You will never have to do anything to catch her eye other than merely existing," she said. Her tone was oddly soft, though fitting of her quiet and observant demeanor. Lamia had not heard the earlier words regarding Esther's relatives, but if it involved Matianak in any way, the girl's mere existence was enough, regardless of who her mother was. But a a grandchild of Eden? That would be enough to draw the grey woman's eye.

Perhaps she was being a bit intrusive on the pair, but it was hard to just walk away after what little she had caught in their conversation. Maybe, just maybe, the daughter of Matianak might give the young daughter of Elohim some insight to the world she had been brought in to.
