At least someone is to get recognition for his WW2 efforts.
Navy sailor Teddy Sheean has been announced by the Federal Govt as a recipient of the Victoria Cross for his gunnery efforts during WW2. The recommendation has been forwarded to Her Majesty the Queen.
This will bring the total of Australian recipients of the Victoria Cross to 101. Replies:
