A Mystic’s Myth or Fable…

Lyden X Taytim
Ailill
Gold Cream Champagne . 15.3hh . Stallion . Of The Ridge

He had no way of knowing the swirl of thoughts that clouded her mind. The dance and the simple sway and movement of their bodies left them together in silence, but alone in their thoughts. His own mind wandered down the tendrils he was no so sure he wanted to travel. If she chose to go back to the grullo stallion, he would not stop her. He understood how a heart could feel and he understood a love for a family. He loved Roisin as though she were his own, and he had never denied the filly the truth of her bloodline. He loved Siobhan, he could never keep her from something that would bring her joy. He knew she grew heavy with his children and his heart constricted at the idea they could possibly be raised away from him and he would not be able to shine in his eyes, they would grow basking in the sun elsewhere. Still, if it meant the difference between her tears and her smile, he would deny his own desires only to see that grin spread across her face, even if it was at the sight of another man.

Letting the thoughts roam where they wanted and allowing himself to wordlessly feel the twists and fears in his heart, he also allowed himself to simply enjoy still being able to touch her while he could, unknowing if she would step away from him and uncaring that she still smelled like another stallion. He simply let their hearts beat together and their feet match the beating of their hearts. When he spoke, he hesitated to catch her stumble. When she stopped, he also stilled, aching when she stepped away from him. She attempts to smile and the corners of his lips quirk. An innocent pleasure warms him while her face is pressed against his. He steals every moment of touch he can from her, not daring to believe she was there and their love had come to this.

A low hmmm of disbelief resonates in his chest at her words. As she moves to look in his face, he stands still, listening intently. It was all he could do to keep from smiling brilliantly at her words. His joy at just hearing her confession of love restored his very being. Even if she still needed to walk away from him in this moment he would hold those words to his heart for the rest of his life. Siobhan, I have dared not to love you, but I could not stop it. I love you in ways I never thought possible for someone to love. His pale nose reached out to brush gentle cross her cheeks, wishing his could dry the tears with his breath. You are whole, and you are true. You love and care deeply for others, even if it brings you pain. This does not make you broken, this makes you strong. Unable and honestly not wanting to stay away from her, he stepped forward to graze his face against her neck. If it is your selfishness that keeps me in your heart, I do not think I can hold that against you. His grin quirked, not shining too brightly while his lips were still moist by her tears. I love you, Siobhan. Completely and entirely.
