Solomon
There is a playful lilt to Tavas' rejoinder, but he isn't sure that he can trust it. The way she'd responded to his arrival had left him off-kilter and he wasn't sure he could trust anything she said to him beneath the mask she offered now. Thus, as she brushes aside his compliments, he remains quiet until she replies again. At her implication of joining him, his emerald eyes flash and he chuckles with a shake of his head. "It's a risk, is it not? To hope that no one forces you away from here?"

He shakes his head, although a small smile plays upon his lips. Kendry's words catch Solomon's attention for a moment, and he offers a brief lift of his lips in response to his astute observation of Atlantis. The tobiano had ventured there only once, on the recommendation of Warsaw, to ally himself with Rougaru and had found it stiflingly humid. That being said, he would take the humidity over the desiccation of Salem any day. Why any creature would want to feel as though the liquid was being sucked from their bodies on a constant basis was beyond him.

Solomon is not prepared for his question, having allowed his gaze to drift back to Tavas in the meantime, but quickly snaps his attention back to the pale stallion with a shrewd narrowing of his eyes. It was as though the stallion was reading his thoughts of only a moment ago, when he'd been considering the state of the Cove. Requiem still rested within the borders of his home, but the pale stallion had already professed a lack of desire to hold any position or responsibility beyond the few mares he had gathered to himself long ago. And even those mares seemed unhappy with his absence, but Solomon had no desire to displace them. As long as Requiem stayed out of the way, Sol didn't particularly care what he did with his time.

Still, the thought of having a lieutenant at his side that he could rely on was tempting, and he rested his gaze quietly on the stallion as he elaborated on his wants and needs. The Cove was quickly growing into one of the larger herds on the isles, and Solomon knew it was only a matter of time before he started drawing the attention of those that would seek to take from him or to do harm to his herd. Solomon nods before he speaks, giving Tavas enough time to make her offer.

In truth, he is not happy with the idea that Tavas would spend her time entertaining this pale stallion when she could instead be safe in the Cove getting to know the rest of the herd, but he knows he cannot strongarm his way through this interaction. He would simply have to give the golden mare her freedom, and do what he could to sway her back to his side. With effort he tries his best to conceal, he inclines his head toward Tavas first and adds a smile back to his face. "Perhaps you can give him the grand tour of Tinuvel Tavas."

Turning back to the pale stallion, he continues. "And if you still find Tinuvel to your liking, we can look into setting you up as Regent of the Cove."

OOC: I figure we can probably end this thread here? I hope that gives enough wiggle room for you to decide if Kendry will stick around or not and allow for everything that's happened since to make sense, lol!
