sent from the heavens above... Galexia/open

OOC: Went just a little back in time to before Xiomara's birth just because Angel wouldn't want to leave her side after the fact.

With another long sigh, the slender buckskin stallion lunged into the chill of the ocean and made his way to Salem. It was only a matter of time after his daughter had showed up in the Shore only to announce she had a new herd and invited him to see it. In a way, he was proud of his daughter for wanting something more but the father in him was worried more than anything else. Why did she want her own herd? Was this because she idolized Xiomara? She was still so young to him. Why did it have to be now? He wanted to blame the young stallion he saw with her last time. Perhaps he had put the idea in her head and let her run with it? Galexia reminded him so much of Solaris the more she grew and he both envied it and feared it because look where it got her mother. He didn't want the same tragic end for her daughter and he couldn't just stand by and watch it happen. Wasp's news of challenging the Peak was yet another reminder that he needed to go see his daughter. He wanted to wait to see if young Velahrn would be able to come with him, but when time continued to pass, he feared Galexia would feel he wasn't proud of her and he decided he needed to go now. He could always take her for another visit later.

He hated to leave Xiomara so close to her birth but she was being watched by most of the herd so he knew he could trust them to keep an eye on her until he returned. He wanted his daughter to know he still loved her with everything in him and he wanted the best for her, even if she wanted to be Queen of her own herd. The swim didn't take terribly long but he was still tired by the time he washed up on the shores of Salem. Shaking out his coat, he wandered further inland, sniffing at the sands and looking for a familiar scent. When he came across Galexia's perfume, he nickered in excitement and trotted toward the territory, crying out for her when he got close enough to let her know he was here. He didn't want to just wander into the territory and not expect some repercussions. As if in reminder, he could feel eyes on him and when his slender head turned, he could make out a burly black and white stallion watching him closely from a few sand dunes over.

The stallion didn't appear hostile, but he looked ready for action. Angel trembled as he saw the scars that decorated the stallion's coat. Did Galexia have to fight this stallion for the herd or was he on her side? Angel certainly hoped so for the latter. Snorting softly, he forced his gaze away to look around for his beautiful daughter.
