My take on the Jai 5 'life cycle' Posted on September 12, 2020 at 05:07:11 PM by Tiger
Stage 1: New pool. 1st, 2nd (maybe 3rd) performance. Joe Sixpack not excited yet. System bettors' most comfortable spot. Looking to snag guarantee with minimal (but targeted) bet total.
Stage 2: Carryover plus new net pool exceeds $2,000. Folks take notice. Jackpot builds along with pool size. System bettors cautiously ramp up. A good middle ground where pools and excitement can grow daily.
Stage 3: Like reaching 'critical mass'. Jackpot so large that Joe Sixpack jumps in big, System bettors bump their bets. Ever-increasing probability of seeing 5 winners picked, but having to share a consolation. An All-All-All-All-All is $28,672, but what if you have to split? What will the other system bettors do? Statistical analysis and game theory folks ... have a field day.
That's what I'd really like to see - excitement, involvement, publicity. Not another ho-hum, Day 1 guaranteed payoff (there have been 17 so far).
At what jackpot level would you say we've reached Stage 3 (we haven't been there yet)? Will we EVER get there? Replies:
