Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Claudya had been waiting for so long for this moment! For this season! For this day! Spring had come to the Peaks! As she raced over the paths into the lower rolling hills, she kicked up her heels and danced among the wildflowers! A year old, she was too big to be able to easily flop around in the soft grasses, but that did not stop her from enjoying a roll or two. Reckless and smiling with the youth that still gripped her, the moment she returned to her feet she was off again, feeling the wind in her mane and feeding off the earth at her feet.

Winter had done remarkably well for the young creature. She had begun to fill out and grow into the large form her father had given her. With the shedding of her winter layers the white blanket shined with and against her silver spots. Soft feathers licked at her hooves, promising to grow thick as she aged. Bright blue eyes peered out from over a blaze down her face that forever held a grin on her lips. Long and lanky, she was clearly still growing.

Splashing through the shallow creeks the Vulcan’s frequented, Claudya slowed her wild pace to sniff around at the grass. Her mother had been talking for a few days now that they would either be left on their own for a while, or there was a chance the family would go on a long adventure. With these words the dark mare had also given them leave to explore as they desired, and of course Claudya took advantage of the freedom. Grinning from cheek to cheek, she followed the creek bed, watching the light play off the subtle ripples.
