o'er the sea to skye

Grier cannot know the trail of Pidgeon's thoughts, but she could have assured the beautiful speckled mare that Rougaru would've been a damned fool to turn down her request for a child if she ever made it. And in truth, the small pony mare knew that Rougaru would have been more than happy to have his way with Pidgeon without feeling any shred of true affection for her. She had seen the lust in his eyes when she'd interrupted them, but could not bring herself to accept even the small shred of possibility that he truly cared for Pidgeon, if only because it would mean that she was not the only one with a claim to Pidge's heart.

As it was, she focused on her dearest friend's response with a lopsided smile that quickly sobered as she confessed to feeling as though she was in a rut. I ken what she means, Grier thought to herself, thinking back over the past few months she'd spent here in Paradise. It was not that she was unhappy truly, for she had all that she needed to be content right in front of her, but there was no denying that their life had settled into something blandly domestic. Perhaps it was because Grier felt no great pull to Rougaru or to the land itself, but Grier knew that she could gladly live anywhere as long as she had Pidgeon at her side and the freedom to come visit Zjeena and Monster.

"You dinna have to be grateful fer that bellend, love." She offers with a cheeky laugh, although it isn't particularly clear if she is speaking of the Fjord that put them into that situation or the handsome rogue that rescued them. Grier continues with a switch of her tail, her tone growing more serious in respect to Pidgeon's forthrightness. "Honestly lass, I could go anywhere with the two of ye and be happy."

Fondly she stretches out to brush Pidge's shoulder before casting her gaze over Isla as well, a fond smile playing across her lips. "I thought about going ta see the Bay again, if yer keen." She turns back to her spotted friend, her gaze searching her face for any sort of reaction. "I always meant ter show Isla the land where she's from, and I heard that's where Valka went. I dinna ken if you met her, but I think ye might like 'er."

The grumpy pony mare had crossed Grier's thoughts often since she had departed from Paradise, but their nebulous connection was not strong enough to convince the overo to make her or her daughter swim all the way north again. But if Pidgeon wanted to leave, what better place to start?
