"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to

and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

lady of the water.

aallotar
lady of the water

He comes to her and though she can see he feels broken, she wants to be angry with him. But she can't bring herself to do it. Though they are not far in age, Aallotar must remember that Fearghas was just a colt when they met. He was bound to the idea of loyalty and having a place to belong. It would be naive for her to blame him for the predicament they now faced. She draws in a breath as he apologizes and holds it in her barrel. Her ears flick to him as he makes promises of freeing her but she notes the solemn tone of his voice. Freeing her, does not mean freeing himself. Though Fearghas was young, he had some inkling of what was right and wrong. Unfortunately, he also knew what sacrifice was and she knew he would not hesitate to free her in his stead. He'd already made an offer to Cullen for her freedom that had fallen no deaf ears. The wretched stallion wasn't going to accept anything less of hard work for her to leave. She releases the breath she had been holding, allowing it to ground her and she watches Fearghas reach for her and pull away. She doesn't speak. Though it's not that she is a loss for words, but that words wouldn't make her, or him feel any better right now. She sidles up to Fearghas and reaches her muzzle gently over his wither in a hug. She doesn't know quite yet what she feels for the colt, but it was beginning to bridge on the gap of love. She rests her cheek there a moment, reveling in the silence but the brief moment is cut short at the approach of a familiar face.

It seemed like ages ago when she had ventured to the Falls. It hadn't been long after Fearghas had brought her to the Lagoon that she had stolen a few moments to herself to rid herself of the awful humidty of the area. She leaves Fearghas' side and looks upon the pale stallion as he cracks a joke about seeing a ghost. "Ah but, who is really the ghost here, my near white friend?" Her faces cracks a little into a grin but she quickly remembers the adversity of her situation. He calls the place this home and though Aallotar can't remember if they had exchanged names before. "An awful place to call home Kendry. A place where mares are mere property." Her voice isn't cold, but instead matter-of-fact. Cullen's one-sided view of mares was old. She briefly looks at Fearghas. "My name is Aallotar. And this is Fearghas," she offers. "And we are "property" of the Lagoon." The word property leaves a bitter taste in her mouth. "But we will not be for long." She spits defiantly. She would never be property anyone. She'd rather throw herself off a cliff before submitting to the enemy.
