 It seemed in the echo of his call that the sound of thunder emerged. The beat of hooves on the ground made his ear twist in the direction of the drumming, before his head turned to spy the gold and white stallion. He was smaller than himself, as every equine seemed to be, yet he raced up to him without any hesitation. Tyr braced, as if the charging brute might run into him, but instead it was the pinch of teeth upon Tyr’s chest that brought a squeal from his lips. The golden beast had not expected that, and almost immediately lashed out a dish sided hoof. The lighter male skittered quickly out of the way of the strike, his laugh coloring the air then as Tyr’s nostrils flared to drink in his scent. The male carried the musk of many stallions rather than the perfume of mares, and he wondered the intent of this brute. At least he was not given long to wait as he was circled and eyed like a piece of meat to a starving wolf. “The Lagoon?” Tyr questioned, unsure of the place this stranger spoke of. As with his ignorance to the land he had come too, Tyr had never heard of the Lagoon either. At the challenge though, the beast of a brute snaked his head out as his ears buried beneath pale locks, his blunt teeth seeking to return the bite upon the stallion’s neck. He had been in bachelor groups before and had been accustom to the rough housing that ensued between stallions. Always practicing, battling, honing their skills to better themselves for a real battle. “Tell me about this Lagoon.” Tyr said, after he straightened his stature and allowed his ears to come forward again after returning the unwanted favor. |
