Hi everyone! Following the recent discussion, we have come up with a proposed events system, through which characters can have an extra chance to earn XP. Please have a read of the following proposed rules, and let us know if you spot any potential loopholes, or you think that anything would not work.
Events & XP:
Once every season, a random event will be posted on one of the TLI boards that characters can respond to, and earn one bonus XP point for participating in. The events will be rotated across the different islands, and different boards within them, so there should regularly be a chance for you to participate in an event somewhere that makes sense for your character to travel to.
In the interest of discouraging excessively large threads that don’t move anywhere, only the first 5 characters that respond to the thread will earn XP, and these responses must be within 1 week of the event being posted. Similarly, to avoid one or two players hoarding the potential XP, only one character per player may earn XP from each event (if a player posts more than one character together, they should specify which they want to receive XP). Responses must be at least 200 words long to earn XP, and post-comings will not be allowed.
Of course, more characters may respond and get involved with the events if they wish just for fun, but only those outlined in these rules will get XP.
